"You, the living" Movie

Hey People,

I want to recommend you a movie I have seen in the holidays, which in my eyes connected the photography part with the now starting film projects. It's a swedish movie by Roy Andersson called "You, the living".

I think he has a nice feel for composition and makes every scene look like a perfectly shoot picture, until the subjects start to move. So in case of scene set-up and camera angle this movie can be really inspiring.

Boris Becker photography in FoMu

Hi everyone,

I just went to the Antwerp Photographic Museum (FoMu). There is a great exhibition of the German photographer Boris Becker's works. I couldn't find much of his work online, but it is definitely worth seeing in person!

 And a few pictures... In real his photographs are huge, 200x160cm at least. Still they have amazing focus, clarity and color.

Space Invaders

Hey People,

I went this weekend to the Netherlands Media Art Institute and there is a pretty nice exhibition called Space Invaders. Its about computer games in todays society and I think even though it's not photography or film, it fits perfectly into our visual culture class. Different installations of several artists show their opinion about this topic.

... and you get a pair of those glasses for free...hah :)

Tiiu- An ode to an Estonian stunner

Personally, being bombarded with tits and full frontal beaver-shots makes you kinda immune and numb to nudity in general; which I find a bit disappointing. This video seems to take a different approach even though the model is frolicking in the buff for the entire video. Straight boys, enjoy!
